Citrine
There are a couple of things you need to know about Citrine before buying. First, 100% natural is very scarce and, at times, hard to distinguish between smokey quartz.
The fact is that most of what is offered on the market today is heat-treated Amethyst. Heating Amethyst to about 750 degrees Fahrenheit will produce a mild yellow color, and heating to about 1700 degrees products deep orange to reddish hues. To complicate matters even further, some smokey quartz can range from dark smokey brown too, yep you got it, yellow. You would have to have your piece scientifically tested to know for sure it was Citrine. Natural Citrine is rare, and the cost can be high if you have to have the absolute real thing the only buy from a reputable, knowledgeable dealer. Ok, all that being said, both real Amethyst and Citrine are so very similar in properties, and each has a very high vibration. The fact that your piece may be heat-treated should never stop you from using it for exactly what natural Citrine will accomplish. Use your heat-treated piece of Citrine as a wonderful assistants that hold both Amethyst and Citrine qualities. As long as the intention is on Citrine properties, then use it and know that you are also getting the added vibrations of Amethyst.
